Hello and a welcome back to your regularly scheduled week in geek. This Thanksgiving week Bat and I sort of split duty and we each caught two theatrical releases today with Bat seeing Bad Santa 2 and me watching Moana. Since neither of us saw both films we keep to spoiler free reviews only. We also discuss our streaming review of American Ultra and talk brief nerd news and black Friday experiences.

This week’s streaming review of American Ultra was my choice. Sadly Bat had some issues with streaming this one so our review is mostly from my perspective. I went into this movie expecting a stoner Borne movie hybrid and what I got was a little more serious than I expected. Not bad, but also not great. This movie is your stereotypical Super Spy project who had his mind wiped… Let the fact that is a movie type sink in. It made me laugh a few times but over all it was a lot more serious than I expected it to be. I gave it a 3/5, again nothing great but it was a fun flick.
