Episode 202: Atomic Blondie

Hello and welcome to back to our regularly scheduled week in geek. It’s only been a little over 2 weeks and damn has a lot happened since then. We had all of D23, SDCC, My Denver Trip and a whole shit ton of movies. Since we’ve both been hitting the theaters hard we’re going to give a spoiler free review of Dunkirk and War for the Planet of the Apes before we get into the meat and potatoes and give our spoiler free and spoiler filled review of Atomic Blonde. We dissect the various news pieces from SDCC, review our streaming review of Creed, bring some free shit good shit and answer last weeks podquestion of “who is your favorite Spiderman villain.”

This last streaming review was a bit of a surprise. While the trailers and concept alone really grabbed my attention, I was worried that my lack of Rocky knowledge was going leave me high and dry. Luckily Creed is the perfect jumping on point for newcomers and old fans. There is plenty of nostalgia and references to keep your attention but thanks to Michael B Jordan Adonis really stands on his own. Both of us really enjoyed the fights and training montages and were really happy with the revisit to a classic franchise and would recommend this movie to you all.

Keeping the with the war movies (thank you Dunkirk) we’re choosing to watch Hacksaw Ridge for this week’s streaming review on HBOgo.

You can suggest a streaming movie that you want us to watch and review on future episodes that are on Hulu, Netflix, Amazon Prime or HBOgo.
