Sorry friends no theatrical release this week but we do have our Streaming Review of the  Last Days on Mars from last week.  This movie really has some production dollars in it from all of the CG and set design that it’s almost hard to believe it wasn’t some bigger budget summer movie.  Okay maybe that’s overstating it a bit, but the movie is beautiful to look at and has some notable actors such as Liev Schreiber and Elias Koteas (Casey Jones).

Both of us have an affinity for outer space movies and this one really had me at the first 15-20 mins of the movie.  But as soon as the first space zombie appeared it lost me.  Personally this movie draws parallels with Doctor Who’s “The Water of Mars” with it’s zombifying space bacteria and their lust for water.  The movie was okay for a one time viewing but I’d have a hard time recommending anyone to spend their time on this one.  I gave 2 stars while Bat gave it 3.
